Minion Madness: Milliner Piers Atkinson brings his Minions to Singapore.
Since the release of the Movie Despicable Me, minion mania has swept the globe and these little yellow aliens have become a firm favourite with kids and adults alike. This June sees the release of a truly unique collection by the king of millinery Piers Atkinson, who is taking fan fashion and minion musings to the next level with his aptly named, “ Bello Yello,” capsule collection. This range of headbands and hats is cute, fun and oh so yellow; and here at Sassy Singers we can’t wait to get our hands on these minion marvels!
Piers Atkinson Millinery is now in its 7th year and since starting his captivating creations have been seen on some of the biggest names: The Princesses of York, Rhianna and Kate Moss to name but a few. All of his creations begin life in an East London studio and are put together by Piers’ esteemed team of craftspeople that use an array of skills such as leatherwork, embroidery and traditional hat blocking to create wonderful works.
Being a huge fan of hats, I must admit I am totally in love with this fabulously fun range of head gear and they are the perfect way to inject a bit of personality into your wardrobe. The collection features a mini bowler hat, backwards cap, beanie and my personal favourite the pompom headbands! The “Stuart, Kevin and Bob,” headband has a classic 1950’s feel with fine black netting overlay and has three perfectly placed minions on top adding that all-important minion mischief and unmistakeable shade of yellow. This range may not be for everyone, however, here are three reasons why I will be donning minion headgear this summer in the hope it inspires you all to get your minion on:
